FAQ

1. Getting Started & Onboarding

How can I request an accurate quotation for my project?

Submit your project details via our website quote request form or send your inquiry directly to sales@yginno.com. To ensure an accurate engineering assessment and rapid quotation, please include your 3D CAD models, target purchase volumes, resin requirements, surface finishing expectations, and any critical dimensional tolerances or compliance standards.

We accept all standard 3D CAD formats, including STEP (.step, .stp), IGES (.iges, .igs), Parasolid (.x_t), and SolidWorks (.sldprt). We also support STL files for rapid prototyping assessments. For injection tooling evaluations and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis, parametric solids (STEP or Parasolid) are strongly recommended.

Every project is assigned a dedicated bilingual Project Manager (PM) who acts as your single point of contact. Your PM bridges our internal tooling, injection, and QC departments, providing weekly milestone reports, DFM feedback, trial-run video documentation, and scheduled conference calls across US, European, and Australian time zones.

We execute bilateral Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) before receiving any proprietary 2D/3D design files. All CAD data and customer assets are securely managed on encrypted, role-restricted internal servers accessible only to the engineers assigned to your project.

2. Product Design & Rapid Prototyping

Does your team support DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis?

Yes. Before steel is cut, our engineering team conducts comprehensive DFM and Moldflow simulation analyses. We evaluate part wall thickness, draft angles, gate locations, parting lines, weld lines, and potential sink marks to eliminate manufacturing defects and optimize tooling costs.

We offer CNC machining, SLA/SLS 3D printing, and rapid soft tooling for design verification and functional testing. Standard CNC or 3D-printed prototypes are delivered within 3 to 5 business days, while low-volume rapid injection molding parts can be achieved within 10 to 14 days.

We provide turnkey “from-0-to-1” engineering incubation. Unlike rigid mass-production plants, we support pilot batches through modular tooling, assist in material selection, optimize structural mechanics, and scale production seamlessly as your market demand expands.

3. Tooling & Injection Molding Engineering

What is the typical lead time for mold fabrication and T1 sample delivery?

MUD (Master Unit Die) Quick Tooling: First-off samples (T1) delivered in 10 to 14 business days.

Standard Custom Production Tooling: Typically delivered in 3 to 5 weeks, depending on mold cavity count, lifter complexity, hot runner systems, and part geometry.

Our facility houses over 140 high-precision single and dual-shot (2K) injection molding presses (featuring Sumitomo and Haitian), ranging from 50 Tons to 800 Tons. We maintain an overall injection output capacity exceeding 300,000 parts per day.

Machining Tolerances: Standard precision of ±0.01 mm, with ultra-precision capability down to ±0.005 mm upon engineering review.

Mold Lifespan: Standard production molds are built and guaranteed for 300,000 shots, with custom tooling built with premium steel grades (under SPI Class 101/102 guidelines) engineered to exceed 500,000+ shots.

We process commodity and engineering thermoplastics, including PC, ABS, PC/ABS, PP, PMMA, PA6/PA66 (Nylon), TPU, and TPE. We also possess proven processing expertise in high-temperature polymers such as polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) and Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR).

We operate cleanroom coating lines, automated UV spray painting, silkscreen and pad printing, laser etching, and ultrasonic plastic welding. Our box-build assembly facility delivers over 30,000 assembled units per day, complete with electrical integration (IM-3D-E), drop-test validation, and retail packaging.

4. Quality Assurance & Global Compliance

What international quality and environmental certifications does YG hold?

Our operations adhere to internationally audited management systems certified by SGS and Intertek:

ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System, SGS CN10/31294)

ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System, SGS CN21/30598)

ISO 13485:2016 (Medical Devices Quality Management, SGS CN24/00006178)

Yes. We operate an ISO Class 8 (Class 100,000) cleanroom environment certified under ISO 13485:2016 for the molding, handling, and assembly of non-invasive medical equipment components, optical housings, and diagnostic devices.

Quality is controlled by an on-site testing lab (equipped with CMM, 2.5D optical projectors, and RoHS testing) and a dedicated team of over 50 QC inspectors. In the rare event of a dimensional or cosmetic non-conformance, our engineering team initiates a root-cause investigation and issues a formal 8D corrective action report within 24 to 48 hours, coordinating immediate rework or replenishment.

Recycled Plastics: Certified under the Global Recycled Standard (GRS 4.0) with license number TE-00129348 (Intertek), qualifying us to issue official Transaction Certificates (TC).

Bio & Circular Polymers: Certified under ISCC PLUS for mass-balance polymer manufacturing.

Social Responsibility: Audited under Sedex SMETA 2-Pillar (Site Ref: ZS406453040 / Company Ref: ZC406428595), and fully compliant with BSCI, Walmart, and Amazon supply chain standards.

5. Commercial Terms & Global Logistics

What is your standard Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?

Custom Tooling: 1 set.

Mass Production: Standard MOQ is 1,000 units. Pilot runs and bridge production batches are fully supported via our MUD rapid tooling infrastructure.

The client retains 100% legal ownership of all custom tooling upon completion of payment. Tooling is maintained, stored, and insured free of charge in our Dongguan facility during active production runs. Clients maintain the absolute right to inspect or relocate their molds upon written notice.

Tooling: 50% deposit upon PO confirmation, 30% upon T0/T1 sample dispatch, and 20% upon final sample approval (TF); or 50% deposit and 50% upon final sample approval (TF). 100% advance deposit applies to high-risk or introductory accounts.

Mass Production: 30% deposit with 70% balance prior to shipping, or 50% deposit with 50% balance before dispatch. Net 30-day payment terms are available for long-term strategic partners subject to formal credit approval.

We support EXW, FOB (Shenzhen / Hong Kong), CIF, and DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). Through partnerships with international logistics providers, we coordinate air express (DHL/FedEx/UPS), dedicated air freight, and ocean container shipments with full customs clearance directly to your local warehouse.
